About

I’m Lauren, a yoga and meditation guide, author, and lifelong student of the body, the mind, and the unseen forces that shape our lives. Above all, I feel deeply grateful to share this magical existence with you.

This space is called Jewels of Yoga (J.O.Y. for short) because I believe that within each of us lies a radiant state of mind, and we can return to this state through practice and intention. Through years of exploration, I’ve discovered that the peace of presence isn’t just calming, it’s liberating. It opens the door to joy, empowerment, and the elevation of our whole being.

My passion is to hold space that inspires people to reconnect with their innate wholeness through grounded, accessible, and empowering practices. Peace, love, and balance aren’t far-off ideals reserved for the lucky or enlightened. They’re living experiences available to anyone willing to explore embodied practice, even in the midst of chaos, change, or uncertainty.

Experience

With over a decade of experience in yoga, meditation, and martial arts (including earning black belts in two disciplines) I’ve learned that real strength grows from softness, steadiness, and kindness. My path has woven through Tai Chi, Buddhist meditation, and professional dance. Each practice has deepened my understanding of energy and flow, and increased my awareness of the freedom that comes from living fully in body and spirit.

As a certified Strala Yoga guide, I teach a style rooted in ease, breath, and natural movement. This reflects my belief that practice can be joyful, nourishing, and affirming. My background in Psychology with a specialization in Biofeedback allows me to bridge science and somatic wisdom, which creates practices that are both effective and transformational.

Offering

Through my books, classes, and community offerings, I aim to create a sanctuary where everyone feels welcome. Whether you’re healing from trauma, seeking spiritual insight, or simply wanting to feel more alive and aligned, you don’t need to be flexible or fearless to begin. You only need to show up for yourself.

The body is the gateway. Practice is the path. Joy is your birthright.
