GROUNDING PRODUCTS I ACTUALLY USE
Grounding Products I Use & Recommend
If you’re curious about grounding but aren’t sure which product makes the most sense, this page walks you through the options I use and how I’d choose between them based on your routine.
I prefer the grounding bedsheet because it fits naturally into my nighttime routine. I don’t have to remember to add another wellness practice to my day, I can simply use it while I sleep. If you’d rather experiment with grounding during the day first, the mat is the easier place to start.

Choose the Fitted Sheet if…

THE BASICS
What Is Grounding?
Grounding, sometimes called earthing, is the practice of making direct physical contact with the Earth, such as walking barefoot on grass, soil, or sand.
Indoor grounding products are designed to provide a convenient way to create a grounding connection at home using conductive materials and the grounding port of a compatible electrical outlet.
What Does the Research Say?
Grounding is still an emerging area of research. Some small studies have reported possible effects involving sleep, stress, inflammation, and mood, but the evidence remains limited and more high-quality research is needed.
I think of grounding as a wellness practice rather than a treatment or replacement for medical care.
MY EXPERIENCE
Why I Use a Grounding Sheet
I love spending time outside and connecting with the Earth directly, but realistically, much of modern life happens indoors.
What I like about the grounding sheet is that it fits naturally into my routine. I don’t have to remember to add another wellness practice to my day — I can simply use it while I sleep.
That convenience is the main reason the bedsheet is my personal favorite. If you’re new to grounding, I’d choose the product that fits the part of your day when you’re most likely to actually use it consistently.
HOW IT WORKS
Wait… Does It Plug Into Electricity?
The grounding cord connects to the grounding port of a compatible wall outlet rather than functioning like an electrical appliance that draws power from the outlet.
Connect
Connect the grounding cord according to the manufacturer’s current setup instructions.
Make Contact
Your skin makes contact with the conductive material in the mat or sheet.
Use It Naturally
Use the product while sleeping, relaxing, working, reading, or meditating, depending on the product you choose.
Always follow the manufacturer’s current setup, outlet-testing, care, and safety instructions.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Grounding Products FAQ
A few of the questions I would want answered before deciding whether a grounding product made sense for me.
Do grounding sheets use electricity?
Grounding products connect to the grounding port of a compatible outlet rather than functioning like an ordinary electrical appliance. Always follow the manufacturer’s setup and safety instructions.
What’s the difference between the mat and the sheet?
The grounding mat is convenient for daytime use under your feet or against your skin. A grounding sheet is designed to make extended contact easier while you’re sleeping.
Which grounding product would you recommend first?
If your main interest is nighttime use, I prefer the grounding bedsheet. If you’d rather experiment with grounding during the day first, the mat is an easy place to start.
What’s the difference between the bedsheet and fitted sheet?
I prefer the bedsheet as a straightforward option for nighttime grounding. The fitted sheet makes more sense if you specifically want more mattress coverage and prefer the familiar fit of a traditional fitted sheet.
How quickly should I expect to notice something?
Experiences vary, and research on grounding is still preliminary. I approach grounding as a wellness practice rather than expecting it to treat or resolve a health condition.
How do I wash or care for a grounding sheet?
Follow GroundingWell’s current care instructions. Because grounding sheets contain conductive materials, their washing and care requirements may differ from ordinary bedding.
